Al-Mawaddah Mosque is one of the SD mosques in District East.
As an SD mosque, our Social Development officer is able to assist and support those requiring assistance through the administration of zakat and fidyah.
These include assessing cases to ensure those that deserve to receive Zakat assistance is not left out, organising developmental programmes in supporting and empowering our Zakat recipients beyond financials, and working closely with a team of volunteers, Befrienders, conducting home visits.
Special Projects
Our Social Development officer also works closely with the grassroots organisations in planning and overseeing the distribution of Festive goodies during Chinese New Year, Hari Raya and Deepavali.
Working together with other faith groups and grassroots organisations, Project SOS hopes to bring some festive cheer to those residing in rental blocks within the Sengkang GRC.
Community Pantry
A small community pantry was introduced in 2025 to help those affected by the rising costs of living to access some basic necessities during their challenging times. A dry pantry, anyone can access the food items on display.
The community pantry is well-supported by donors who help to keep the pantry well-stocked. We welcome anyone to donate and support our Community Pantry.
